Growing up surrounded by the Australian bush is what inspires Mignon to create the vibrant colour and subtle textures onto canvas, paper and board. She  works mainly with acrylics setting up still life subjects of flowers, fruits and colourful drapes. She also explores other mediums such as watercolour, fresco painting, print making and gilding.  Working with different mediums allows Mignon to be expressive in a different way.

During her career in the arts Mignon has remained a prolific artist, submitting work for mass media publications, teaching and conducting workshops at well established schools of art.  Her work is not limited to one style, rather a unique and diverse ride through many different styles and techniques.  Her love of flowers, the figure and birds are reflected in the work she presents. Inspired by nature her passion is colour and texture and her work continues to evolve and engage the viewer with new images.

Mignon has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions and is represented byvarious galleries and private collections both here and overseas.  You can check out more of her works on her website www.mignonparker.com
or on Instagram at mignonparkerart.

In this workshop you will have fun learning a fast way to paint blue hydrangea and black and white stripes onto a black primed canvas.  If you are a fast worker you may wish to bring a second canvas and try a different colour way.
