Our Easter Art Exhibition saw 95 on display from 35 of our exhibiting artists. Following the slight change to the delivery process, where they were all delivered to Berry Hall, then at 2pmtransferred to the Tramshed Hall. The set up of the screens was completed reasonably quickly and the difficult process of curation of the paintings then began, resulting in a delightful exhibition.
The door opened promptly at 9am on Thursday morning and almost immediately we had visitors wanting to see the artworks. From then on there was a steady flow of people through the doors resulting in a total of 870 visitors over the 6 days of the exhibition.
Despite the fact that we did not have a celebrity to officially open the exhibition (not for want of trying!) the Opening Night was a resounding success with, at least, 100 guests enjoying the display and the wine. Although sales were down a little due to the current economic situation, we still sold 8 paintings, most of which were sold on the one rainy day of the weekend!

Congratulations must go to all those whose paintings were sold: Ann Chadderton, Narrelle Harvey, RobWale, Noeline O’Connor, Geri Simmons, Lyn Matthews and Judy Salleh, who sold two! 1st Place People’s Choice was“Bluebell” and 2nd Place People’s Choice was “ Moos in the Mist”, both by Annette McCrossin.

Thank you to all who entered for your beautiful artworks, for your diligence in preparing your paintings for hanging,as requested and for delivering them on time, despite the change in time and location, which was out of our control.
Now you can start to prepare for the Awards Exhibition in October!
